It's official. I finalized Maggie's adoption yesterday. Happy Day! She's a very, very good girl, but in desperate need of clear boundaries, so training now begins in earnest. Welcome to a brand new day, sweet girl. Nothing In Life Is Free...
I landed on Maggie for her name last week. It's just who she is, Maggie. Her first nickname: Pie.

Wonderful news! Maggie is the perfect name for her. Incidentally, I call one of the dogs I dog-sit for "Cedar Pie" and another one "Sadie Cakes," so I think it's a great nickname! I'm so glad it's all official and you can get down to the work of making sure, even though she's so wonderful to cuddle, that you're still in charge!

ReplyDeleteI also had a Maggie growing up. We called her Mag-pie or Maggie May. She was similar in color to your Maggie, and also a rescue. May the 2 of you create as many wonderful memories as my Maggie and I did <3
