my good life

I heard that Santa was bringing me gifts for Christmas. I don't know what that is, but I decided to wait anyway. Nice Lady told me about chimneys, but we don't have one here. So, I just parked myself in front of the door.  In the meantime, while I'm waiting for Santa to get here, a friend of The Lady's brought me a big pack of bully sticks.

This is me with my blue eye and a mostly finished,
incredibly delicious bully stick. They are
definitely my favorite thing. TOTAL FAVORITE.

Also, The Lady told me, Ruh-roh, she's fallen more in love with me than she expected and has been trying to negotiate with The Powers That Be so that I can stay with her as long as possible without me being uncomfortable. I agree. I want to stay with her. I didn't know life could be like this. So Good. Thank you for everyone who helped me get my new Good Life.

  1. Birdy I'm praying for a Chistmas Miracle that will keep you with Nice Lady for many months to come. I don't know what Santa is bringing you but it must be huge because you are the best girl ever.
    Love you.

  5. For Birdy's Nice Lady: What has the vet said, in terms of prognosis? (Not that I will believe it--but I'm curious what they told you to expect.)

  6. @superherosandra: Birdy came from BadRap and it was their vet that gave the diagnosis of lymphoma. Her tumors are very large and apparent. No precise prognosis in terms of time left to live.

She appears to me doing much better than when I first got her. Much more energy, sometimes even puppyish. Even though it's great at The Barn, I'm sure she's happier in a home with someone who is all about her. She doesn't seem close to dying, but I don't know much about this disease or whether she can get very sick quickly and then die. So, we're loving each other and living the good life while we can

  8. Hi Birdy. Our dog Jax was just diagnosed with lymphoma too. He is not in any pain either. We are doing some shots to see if they might help. So sad that the 2 of you were dealt an unfair hand, but at least you have a wonderful lady now to love you and take care of you also. Sending you warm wishes and healing thoughts. XOXO
